Personal:

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. After the birth of my son in 2001 my fitness declined to a pathetic level. I have been running regularly since 2002. I currently run about 35 - 40 miles a week.

Ran the Law Day 5K in the morning.  This is not a runners race.  I've never seen more lawyers and paralegals in my life.  They are an uptight and humorless group.  My only goal was to show up, and I accomplished that with about 5 hours of sleep, so I was happy with my performance.  They did a pretty good job with the race logistics, and it was kind-of nice running through the U of U campus.  They had good coffee.  The first 1/2 is up to the top of campus and the finish is down to the law school building.  I was pretty relaxed the whole time and the weather was perfect.  I have no idea what place I was.  They had timing chips but I didn't bother with that.   I didn't even wear a watch.  The U of U homecoming/alumni 5K is more fun.  It started raining after the race, and I ran another 5 miles slow in the rain through Gilmer Park.

Ran down to Cottonwood Heights and went to a BBQ.  I need to find a better route there were a few sections that had scary traffic conditions and no sidewalk, etc.  Felt great, just glad I didn't get lost.

Ran w/ the SLCTC in Sugarhouse Park and on the HH track.  I felt good pretty much the whole time, probably should have gone faster.

I really didn't have it in me after Boston.  I started too fast and knew it was a bad idea. I slowed down around Eden.
